A really fun part of any SWR class are the scenarios. I tend to vary the number of scenarios based on my student abilities. If the class is full of returning students, I tend to have many more scenarios and far more challenging exercises. I also like throw rope practice before the class starts while waiting for everyone to show. This exercise is a great barometer on rescue skills. All scenarios need close supervision, proper safety set, and a watchful eye. Debrief discussions are a great learning tool.
