The CCA, Calleva, and Heroes on the Water (HOW) are teaming together to run a one day Beginner Kayak Class for children.  Equipment can be rented from Calleva and we plan to meet at Riley's Lock along the Potomac River.  The majority of this class will be held on the water.  The morning session will concentrate on flat water skills, bracing, and wet exits.  We will then eat lunch.  AFter lunch, we plan to run the GW Loop on the Virginia side and work on various whitewater skills like eddy turns, ferries, reading rapids, etc.
